life imitating art
Oscar Wilde may have said it best. "Life imitates art far more than art imitates Life." I am finding inspiration all around me that has such a profound influence on the direction of my art. The images and the art are molding me and providing a lovely, yet powerful full circle to the process.
And isn't it amazing where the most slight of inspirations can come from. The curve of a tree, the way the drops of rain fall upon a window sill. And Facebook? Yes, unbelievably Facebook. The newest "random things" subject is your pseudo-band. Here are the rules:
- go to wikipedia's special random page and whatever the first random article you get is the name of your band.
- go to the Quotations page and the last four or five words of the very last quote on the page is the title of your first album.
- Now, off to Flicker you go. Third picture, NO MATTER WHAT IT IS, will be your album cover.
- Toss it all together via Photoshop or some other editing program, and there you have it.
Sometimes the randomness of life can create art, but I'd like to believe that we are all be created by the beautifully randomness of the images and experiences around us.
